It is an important topic for users of DataSnipper that have audit engagements on which third party service providers cannot be used in the performance of audit procedures. Since Azure is a third party service provider, for specific engagements we are not allowed to use the OCR feature.

For the regular tool + the Excel online version of the tool, it is important that auditors have the option to toggle the automatic OCR functionality on or off on a case-by-case level to ensure they are complient with internal guidelines and client agreements.

Otherwise there is a risk that they cannot use DataSnipper at all for these specific engagements.
