We are constantly looking for ways to improve Datasnipper, and we believe that the best way to do this is by listening to our users. We would love to hear your ideas and suggestions for how we can make the product even better.

Whether you have a feature request or a general suggestion, we want to hear it all. Your feedback is valuable to us, and it will help us prioritize our roadmap and make sure that we are building the right things for our users.

  1. API Connection to the User Metrics data

    We’d like to be able to make a direct connection to your user metrics dashboard with a secure API connection.

    Right now the downloading, formatting, running the Macro to match Hashes + importing into Alteryx and PowerBI is quite an extensive process.

    We’d love to be able to download the data directly to be able to move the entire process into a web-based application on our side that is always up-to-date.

    The goal for us it to use machine learning algorithms to identify statistically significant differences between departments and regions to be able to provide advice for engagement partners and…

  2. Allow easy identification of champion users

    Adding filters for specific metrics and predefined "champion targets" allows easier analysis of the data and insights to be gained.

    • Top user per snip type
    • Top users overall

    Incorporating filters for user inputted mapped data (i.e. filter by department / filter by region) to easily identify top users by specific metrics per region and per department.

    A leaderboard style feature will be developed in the new dashboard "after" launch of Dashboard v2. It's not part of the initial scope of v2 launch but will be developed soon after.

  3. Version data in Advanced Reporting

    Add a column with the information about the version installed in each device, to monitor upgrading needs.

    Core team is working on sending this data which we'll then be able to incorporate into both AR & Dashboard. (Regardless of which licensing method the company is on)

  6. Link usage data with training data

    It would be great to link a users usage to the training(s) that they have attended so that we can build/test correlation between trained users and usage of DataSnipper features.

  8. Advanced Reporting timestamp filter

    Instead of pulling monthly reports, it would be helpful to allow for a timestamp filter, whereby you could filter for a specific month for instance.

    It's not practical/feasible to provide this via an excel file format. It's too much data. With dashboard v2 we'll provide better ways of viewing data over time and be able to provide more granular reports. In 2025 we'll also likely work on having a reporting API which will enable the client that requires such granularity to connect and apply such filter however they want in their chosen analysis tool.

  9. Education Data in Dashboard

    It would be valuable to include learning data within the dashboard.

    Problem: Today it is not easy to understand which users have completed academy courses or attended training webinars. This is because this information is not available or I have to log in to other systems like the academy.

    Solution: Providing academy analytics along with webinar attendance on the dashboard would allow admins the ability to ensure users have completed the recommended education content.

  10. Track usage of featured templates

    Can we track the usage of individual document matching featured templates? This metric will help us evaluate the effectiveness of our Validis templates and adjust our offerings to better meet user needs.

  11. Enable multiple licence keys to be combined into a singular dashboard

    Allow more than one dashboard to be visible at a time by combining dashboards. Often information is needed at an aggregate level and the current option to obtain this information is to manually type number of snips into excel and rebuild the graphs cumulatively which is time consuming. Alternatively, the ability to export a dashboard to show the number of snips per type shown in tabular format would be valuable.

  12. Enhance the dashboard to allow more customization

    The dashboard only shows set metrics for all users.
    The only real customization that the user has is to amend the date range.

    It would be nice to be able to input the user details (encrypted) so that further insights could be gained (i.e. a filter on region, role, department etc.).

    The dashboard could include toggles for which features are more important to view so that that they focus attention on the metrics useful for them.

    Ideally they could also amend how the data is visualized (default can be applied with the option to tailor). I.e. If I would like…
