Ability to create excel sheet templates and store them within DataSnipper.
Ability to create excel sheet templates and store them within DataSnipper.
Problem: Currently external & internal auditors use templates for completing audit procedures. This requires ecxel templates to be created and maintained within a shared document storage such as Sharepoint. Users will then download the files to their local machine. This leads to templates becoming outdated and also having a lack of insights about the useage of the templates.
It would be valuable to have an option to create, upload and manage excel templates into DataSnipper. This would allow users to create excel file templates directly from DataSnipper. To ensure…

Removing the ability of the search function to highlight search "hits" for any text that has been redacted
I noticed recently that when I redact text, that text can still show up as a "hit" when I search for something... I think there should be an option where redacted text should either be excluded from search "hits" or shouldn't be included any searching at all. Thanks!

Custom Formula Function
The system currently has three value-related options (text [ie. single value], SUM of values, and table/list), there is a fourth option that is missing: custom formula.
What is missing is an option to calculate values that are not only summation but also with subtraction, division, and multiplication (in relation to other cells via cell reference, via fixed value, and via additional snips).
While I can always update the formula after-the-fact in Excel, if I add another cell in the formula or change something other than the format, the manually-entered formula is overwritten and everything returns to a basic SUM formula.

Export OCR PDF file >> keep OCR
If I, after running OCR on a PDF, export the pdf to my computer, the text is unrecognized and I can't search it anymore using for example Acrobat. It would be nice and usefull if a PDF that was text recognised, stays that way after export.

Check internal consistancy between f.e. invoices and delivery notes
In our job as external auditor we regulary check internal consistancy between orders, delivery notes and invoices. It would be really usefull if this could be automated. DataSnipper could check the client/suppliers information, match the delivery note number with the invoice and check wether the item code, item description and delivered quantities are the same as what was invoiced. More than sometimes, multiple delivery notes are invoiced at once so to be able to search trough multiple invoices, delivery notes would be a great addition.

Extract mutations per account out of an amortization table
It would be useful to be able to automatically extract the mutations on the subtotal lines (per account) and put them in our fixed assets mutation table in Excel. If we do it manually it would be a table snip because investments and desinvestments are mostly next to each other. If I could show datasnipper once where he should snip it, he could do the rest of them automatically. I think we need to be able to edit our key so that it takes for example every "total" row and combines it with the accountnumber that's in our mutation table…

Provide further options for configuring private OCR endpoints
Currently, it is only possible to authenticate to the OCR endpoint using an API key. There are other (more secure) authentication methods available to be configured on these resources within Azure. It would be beneficial if DataSnipper would support changing the authentication method that DataSnipper uses

version compare
Have the comparison export be to pdf instead of excel in a side-by-side view with synchronous scrolling so a staff can run the comparison and send to a reviewer (whereas excel export is hard to decipher and easy to manipulate/misunderstand). Currently adobe acrobat pro has this "compare files" feature.

DataSnipper will help determine the sample size and select the defined samples from the general ledger, taking materiality and other factors
Since DataSnipper now assists in matching samples with relevant supporting documents, it would be great if it could also handle sample size selection, making it a one-stop platform for both selecting and testing samples.
