More Flexibility in Excel to PDF Import
When importing Excel workbooks, DataSnipper currently creates separate PDFs for each tab, saved in the original folder. This can lead to a cluttered and disorganized folder structure.
Requested Features:
Selective Export: Allow users to choose which tabs to export as PDFs.
Destination Folder Selection: Let users specify a folder for saving the exported PDFs.
Single PDF Export: Provide an option to export all tabs into a single PDF.Benefits:
Reduces clutter in the original folder.
Provides greater control over file management.
Simplifies document management and enhances user experience by allowing a single cohesive view of the entire workbook.18 votes -
Remove option, of remove pages with snips
It would be nice to have a remove option of remove pages with snips, so I can bulk remove duplicate sample pages for a more accurate document match, like removing all the checks from a combined pdf, that also includes invoices.

OCR identifies potential PII (personal identifiable information)
I am not sure if this falls under another category, but I was thinking it would be a nice feature to identify anything in imported documents that could potentially be considered personal identifiable information (PII). For example, perhaps an option under the "Remove" drop down, you could click a button that scans all imported documents for account numbers or social security numbers, etc. Not necessarily a feature that will redact this for you, but just looks for some generic patterns that might suggest that this is PII that would need to be redacted from the imported files.

Zooming in and zooming out feature on all imported documents
Minor wish list here, but it would be nice to be able to set a zoom % for all imported documents rather than having to do it on each individual document. And I am not certain about this, but I think when you zoom in or out on an imported document, that zoom setting that was previously selected does retain. In other words, I think you have to reset the zoom every time on an individual document.

DataSnipper imported documents checking feature
Before archiving workpapers in the audit file, the end-user might be required to remove any imported documents using DataSnipper. The necessity of removing documents is dependent on the firms documentation requirements.
Currently it is time-consuming to go through all the excel workbooks and remove imported documents. Can a feature be developed which
1. identifies workbooks in a selected folder that have Imported Documents
2. Provides an option for the end-user to bulk remove imported documents12 votes -

slepen
Bestanden slepen naar Excel om het in Datasnipper te krijgen. Om bestanden in Datasnipper te importen moeten bestanden nu eerst lokaal worden opgeslagen of worden gekopieerd.
1 voteDrag files to import is available in the Document Organizer. This is a drag functionality from local storage however the drag functionality from other locations would require further integrations to be built. Integrations are in research. If you have a specific platform that you would like to drag files into DataSnipper from, please let us know so that we can investigate further.

Improve user interface for "include PDFs in excel"
Currently it is possible to store documents in sharepoint and not include them in the excel document however this process is not verry clear. It would be great if there was a better worflow to take users through the process of referancing sharepoint files.

Run OCR only for the portions of that document which do not contain computer generated text
OCR currently overwrites all computer generated text, sometimes with worse results. OCR may be required if a portion of the document contains computer generated text but a portion does not. In these instances it would be ideal to only run use the OCR to recognize the text that is not yet included in the text layer of the file.

Filter for more than just document name
In the Document Organizer, I'd like to be able to use the Filter field on the file "Status" to select documents. For example: to apply OCR to all files that have "Status" of Contains Text or to select all files that imported corrupted to remove those files in bulk.

Organize folders in the organizer
When multiple folders are created, these can be hard to navigate through. Maybe add the function of sorting in alphabetical order or search for folder names

Importing sub-folders
allow for the ability to import subfolders when dragging & dropping files/folders into Document Organizer.
many times, firms/clients will organize an audit by having many subfolders within one folder. Currently, the subfolder formatting does not carry over.
4 votesThis has been deferred (not planned for the next 6 months).
The current implementation allows all documents within each folder to be imported (the highest level folder will be replicated within DataSnipper but all documents within subfolders will be imported into that 1 folder).

Move or Copy - Allow the transfer of snips and documents.
Currently, when using the Move or Copy functionality in excel, it does not transfer the documents ans cross-references from one workbook to another.
For excel files with thousands of snips in multiple sheets it's very important that this is enabled.
Currently I have to manually copy each sheet individually7 votes -
PDF Splitter/Auto Group
Would like to have the ability to split a large pdf into several smaller ones, and also have a button in the document organiser which would automatically cluster similar documents into groups.

Merge the separate documents into a single PDF file when exported.
Clients often find it more convenient to share the work performed in a single, easily distributable PDF format when collaborating with colleagues or external reviewers who do not have DataSnipper installed, rather than dealing with multiple PDFs.

Drag & drop embedded documents in the document organizer
When documents are embedded in word, it is possible to drag & drop them to file explorer. It is not yet possible to drag & drop documents to the organizer. This is very relevant in the transition from documenting in word to documenting in excel.

copy the folders and/or specified contents of the folders into a new folder
I wish that I could copy the folders and/or specified contents of the folders into a new folder within the Document Organizer so that I could compile one folder to follow ups for client. Using "Remove all pages without exception snip" is a great tool to consolidate only the pages that need follow ups.. but sometimes I dont want to delete the rest of the document. If you could copy files into a separate folder and then export that folder just to provide the client the exceptions, I could see alot more testing relying on DS ++ expanded functionality for…

transfer snips
Have the ability to (or publicize it more) - the ability to replace documents (keep snips/abandon snips) when importing. there are 2 workflows this prospect identified to accomplish this:
1) Make Edits within PDF
a. Export PDF within datasnipper to a separate folder than the original PDF is saved on your computer (I am not sure why it has to be a separate folder).
b. Unclick “include PDFs in Excel” within excel file.
c. Exit excel and save.
d. REPLACE PAGES of PDF (for different version) or make edits as need be. Save and close PDF.
e. Reopen excel –…3 votes
