  3. It would be nice to have the feature to remove all Files/Documents without snips not only all pages without snips. So the documents with snips stay in excel as a whole and the the documents not needed can be deleted easily

  4. Quick/Mass Redact - when needing to redact long documents for identifying information it'd be nice to be able to redact info you know appears through out i.e. company name / reg number quickly. Currently searching for these in the top right to find all instances and then manually redacting each so on long documents with a lot of identifying info this is quite laborious

  5. Request coming from financial control departments: next to having document matching, I'd love to have a plug in that can also automatically extract the documents related to the selected samples from the ERP system

  6. Version compare - ignore headers/footers option

    We often use version compare to look at drafts of financial statements, each draft usual has something in the header/footer to show when the draft was made so when looking at these in version compare theres a huge amount of flagged changes that we don't need to look at.

    So if a range at the top/bottom could be set to be ignored or if we could enter specific text strings to ignore i.e. the draft message then that would make things much cleaner and the tool significantly more valuable

  8. Financial statements extraction model similar to invoice extraction or contract extraction already available.

    If the model could be trained to pull out statutory information like who signed & the date i.e. for the audit report / strategic report / Balance sheet; other useful statutory information would be things like accounting standards prepared under and who the ultimate controlling party is etc.

    As well as other standard numerical info such as turnover, debtors, creditors, bank, employee numbers, etc.

  9. Instead of removing all pages that do not have exception snips, I would like to be able to compile all pages that have exceptions without removing/losing all the other pages from my excel file.

  10. This is for those that have multiple add-ins on their Microsoft Excel program that may not use DataSnipper every time Excel is opened. The DataSnipper add-in is loaded 100% of the time - it would be helpful to have some convenient toggle to “turn on” or “turn off” some or all of the add-in features. This can be done using File > Options but it’s inconvenient.

  11. Users spend a lot of time building PBC request lists when a lot of this information is already contained in prior year workpapers, sometimes you have examples from proforma clients or other templates which you would want to share with your client.

    The request snip could allow users to snip a document or a table of sample items in a workpaper and then automatically populate and send the request through the relevant PBC portal.

  12. Add possibility to switch between different OCR servers. The reason for this request is for service delivery centers that work for different countries and therefore want to switch between OCR servers to stay compliant with data regulations.

  13. Add a translate Snip function. We often get documents in Spanish, so it would be handy to be able to Snip the Spanish comments and have it translated into English for our working paper.

  14. Problem Statement:

    When using features like Receipt extraction quite often documentation is provided in various rotations, the tool is able to extract the information from these documents but it can be annoying to work with these documents or review the results as you are manually rotating pages a lot, some expense reports could include hundreds of receipts.

    Solution Suggestion:

    Once receipt extraction is completed it would be great to be able to automatically rotate the receipts through increments of 90 degrees so that the cross references are readable.

  15. Have the DataSnipper ribbon, buttons, words, etc available in other languages. Canada has specific regulation that all tools need to be available in French & English, otherwise they will get alerted that they need to discontinue use of the software. Understood that the tool names we created "Document Matching"don't need to be translated, but the other actions that are just words "Import Documents" would need to be available.

  16. Have datasnipper compare two different versions of a PDF in excel. I.e. V1 and V2 reports.

    Datasnipper will then create a new tab with a list of exception snips that highlight any differences between the two pdfs.

  17. At the moment, there is a per-workbook setting to flick on or off 'Embed PDFs in Excel'. It would be useful to provide domain administrators with a method of applying this setting across their domain, and disabling the toggle for users.

  19. It would be very nice if DS can match samples to underlying documents with document matching and then extract extra fields that are needed but not yet in the sample data (f.e. with invoice extraction)
