Preference setting to choose viewing option
I would like to suggest a setting that would allow a person to change their excel options for their viewer preference. Myself, I almost always work with the viewer in another window, since it can take up a lot of space in a large excel sheet. Having a spot where a person could set it to automatically go there every time I create or open a file would be a very nice option.

We also have a lot of people that would prefer for an option to have the disabled automatic opening Viewer in the Viewer section be a default that is available. Our users can already set the defualt setting to not open upon file opening, but as soon as someone clicks an area thats been snipped the widow loads up. We would prefer if someone selects the disable automatic opening viewer that it extends beyond that instance of a file and doesnt open a document viewer window until they would change their prefernce in the viewer options.

Agreed, being able to set a default viewing option would be very helpful.
