Sum Snip within Form extraction
It would be great if users could automatically sum certain parts of each document/page automatically.
For certain documents, users need to extract various amounts using FE and then sum them in Excel.
With Sum Snip inside of FE, we could automatically generate an extraction that is a sum of many. Saving time and saving on the number of extractions done.6 votes -
Form Extraction: the output will shift to eliminate blank columns. Output columns need to be consistent for use in workpapers
In a client discussion, when using a form extraction template the extraction came up with an error that certain fields could not be found. I assume that is an issue with finding keys. However, then the output would be shifted to create an output without spaces which makes it inconsistent with the rest of the extraction outputs.
If a key/extraction isn't found, the output columns should remain fixed so as to create a consistent table that can be copied and pasted into workpapers.

Featured templates not always working
The featured templates in form extraction are not always working accurately. I'd suggest we review them more thoroughly and make them accurate. Also I'd suggest to add a more specific instruction (for example which year the templates apply to).

Introduce a table snip setting where you can request that rows are not automatically identified
I use Table Snip all the time and while I like that the Table Snip feature "automatically' identifies the columns and rows, there are times where I would prefer that the tool not try to identify the rows - especially when there are several of them... for one, when you click on "edit rows", often times its very hard to decipher just where the rows have been identified if you haven't established the boundaries of the rows yourself... it'd be nice to have a click where you can easily delete the suggested rows - something like a "bulk delete suggested…

Rotate imported image by small degrees
It would be nice if we had the ability to slightly rotate an image by a small degree. For example, if a PDF has a poor scan of an image and lets say that image is slightly skewed, it'd be nice to rotate that image to a degree less than 90 degrees... for example, let's say, I just want to rotate the image to the left, say, 2-3% degrees so that the columns are more up-and-down rather than slightly skewed.

Enhance "Find All Sums" to capture table across pages
It would be nice that we enable "Find All Sums" to capture tables that are cut-up by page breaks.

Enhance "Find All Sums" algorithm to increase accuracy
Client reported that with some financial documents in Mandarin Chinese, Find All Sums cannot correctly identify items on the balance sheet, and excluding it from the sum result.
There could be further investigation on what's causing these issues, and whether we can fix them.

Wildcard Keys
Currently, there is only an option to have a key exactly match the text character for character. There should be an option to have keys which follow a similar pattern. For example, a backslash followed by four numbers. So instead of the key being "/2023", it would be "/####" and would pick up all lines whether it says /2022, /2023, or /2024.

Header and footer extractions
Have an option for "header" or "footer" in form extraction, so that it will autofill blank cells below or above with that value.

FE: export results to an existing sheet
It would be nice if there was an option in form extraction to export the results to a certain sheet that is already existing in the workpaper. So immediately export the form extraction sheet to the test sheet.

PDF Splitter/Auto Group
Would like to have the ability to split a large pdf into several smaller ones, and also have a button in the document organiser which would automatically cluster similar documents into groups.

Toggle on the add-in
This is for those that have multiple add-ins on their Microsoft Excel program that may not use DataSnipper every time Excel is opened. The DataSnipper add-in is loaded 100% of the time - it would be helpful to have some convenient toggle to “turn on” or “turn off” some or all of the add-in features. This can be done using File > Options but it’s inconvenient.

Shortcut to search
I'd like to be able to click into a cell to populate the Excel formula bar + Document Viewer Search field and then use a shortcut / hot key to search, rather than clicking on the magnifying glass. This would allow faster querying of the files within and allow ease of navigating to the intended value.

Change Form Extraction Orientation from Columns to Rows
Description:
The current orientation for data extraction is column-based, which presents challenges for accounting team's workflows. The data is more intuitive and accessible when the descriptions are aligned in rows, as this format closely mirrors accounting software and ledger formats commonly used in the industry.Benefits:
Aligns with standard accounting practices.
Improves readability and usability for accounting personnel.
May enhance data entry speed and reduce errors.Previous Discussion:
This issue has been raised previously and remains a significant point of concern for the user experience within accounting department.3 votes -
WebSnip - HTML Table Extraction
Within the websnip currently the table extraction works very well, however given that HTML Pages will have a table included in code it would be even better if you were able to auto-table snip the table based on code.
This would have multiple benefits such as making tabular extraction more accurate and improved UX in extracting tabular data.

multiple keys for dynamic form sections
multiple keys for dynamic form sections
Lots of orders & invoices we'd like to use form extraction against fall down when the documents middle section can change sizes and the bottom part moves with it, so commonly where there's a breakdown of costs and then the total is summarised.
If we could set multiple keys to determine the start and end point to extract from that would alleviate this issue since the bottom bit is a fixed layout but moves with the section above and the start of the above section don't move then it should work nicely

sum function and delete snips
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to seek your assistance with an issue I've encountered in DataSnipper. Currently, the SUM function does not seem to work when trying to sum numbers across continuous pages - For example, if I have the numbers 10, 20, and 30 on page one and 30 on page two for a total sum of 90, the function does not compute the sum. It appears the app overlooks such items, impeding efficient data manipulation.
Alongside this, I am wondering if there's a way to exclusively apply the 'document matching' and delte snips…
