  1. Selecting multiple cells with numbers will automatically show the count, average and sum in the lower brown bar by default.
If you use text snip, or table snip to extract those numbers, Excel only shows count, and not sum and average. Even when transforming the snipped numbers into an Accounting Number Format. Not a must-have but maybe nice-to-have to integrate in the future

  2. It would be helpful to have an integration to DATEV e.g. for using DataSnipper in DATEVs "Individuelle Anlagen", analysis etc.

  3. If I, after running OCR on a PDF, export the pdf to my computer, the text is unrecognized and I can't search it anymore using for example Acrobat. It would be nice and usefull if a PDF that was text recognised, stays that way after export.

  4. Currently, it is only possible to authenticate to the OCR endpoint using an API key. There are other (more secure) authentication methods available to be configured on these resources within Azure. It would be beneficial if DataSnipper would support changing the authentication method that DataSnipper uses

  5. Ability to create excel sheet templates and store them within DataSnipper.

Problem: Currently external & internal auditors use templates for completing audit procedures. This requires ecxel templates to be created and maintained within a shared document storage such as Sharepoint. Users will then download the files to their local machine. This leads to templates becoming outdated and also having a lack of insights about the useage of the templates.

It would be valuable to have an option to create, upload and manage excel templates into DataSnipper. This would allow users to create excel file templates directly from DataSnipper. To ensure…

  6. Have the comparison export be to pdf instead of excel in a side-by-side view with synchronous scrolling so a staff can run the comparison and send to a reviewer (whereas excel export is hard to decipher and easy to manipulate/misunderstand). Currently adobe acrobat pro has this "compare files" feature.

  7. Since DataSnipper now assists in matching samples with relevant supporting documents, it would be great if it could also handle sample size selection, making it a one-stop platform for both selecting and testing samples.

  8. Allow, with userbase licence, to easily give your feedback and fill a support ticket inside excel.
No more need to get on another website, and sign-up / sign-in. Just click on a button, a windows open to complete the form (NPS or support). So we never leave excel again.

  9. Allow more options within each extraction model as well as allowing custom extraction options.

  10. It would be nice to be able to mass delete folders. Let's say, for example, I have a template that I use and I have already deleted all prior imports into that template, it appears to me that the folders will remain. It would be nice to be able to remove all file imports and another option to be able to mass delete folders. Or be able to delete multiple folders at once.

  11. It would be a nice feature to be able add a comment across multiple imports at the same time... let's say for example, I have 100 PDFs that are imported and as a reviewer, I have gone through maybe a handful of those imports (say, 40 out of the 100) when I need to transition to something else, it'd be nice to have a feature to say, - hey, on these imported documents, I want to add a "Reviewed by AG on 9/19/2024"... something like that... I was also thinking it would be nice to add, say, sequential comments across…

  12. I am not sure if this falls under another category, but I was thinking it would be a nice feature to identify anything in imported documents that could potentially be considered personal identifiable information (PII). For example, perhaps an option under the "Remove" drop down, you could click a button that scans all imported documents for account numbers or social security numbers, etc. Not necessarily a feature that will redact this for you, but just looks for some generic patterns that might suggest that this is PII that would need to be redacted from the imported files.

  13. Minor wish list here, but it would be nice to be able to set a zoom % for all imported documents rather than having to do it on each individual document. And I am not certain about this, but I think when you zoom in or out on an imported document, that zoom setting that was previously selected does retain. In other words, I think you have to reset the zoom every time on an individual document.

  14. Under the current table snip in Form Extraction, the table as are fixed which will not account for table length variability. (also and issue with extractions as well). If the table would account for variability, like snip all tables, it would be more functional

  15. Having the ability to select which document types (folders) are present in a test from the document matching template allows the template to be customized by the user more easily.

So if the test needs both an invoice and delivery note, the user can select that they dont have a delivery note and the test will still work with just the invoice.

  16. Table snips is a great feature, but it would be nice if I could choose columns or rows that I want to exclude from a table snip - I know you can do this once the table snips is in Excel, but it would be nice if I could do this while working in the Table snip feature itself... for example, let's say I have a table with 7 columns, and I only want to bring over 3 of those seven columns into Excel. It would be nice if I could work within a Table snip and basically only bring…

  17. I was document matching (DM) a large PDF file the other day and while I was reviewing the DM output, it occurred to me that it would be nice to have a feature where DataSnipper could quickly identify discrepancies (or better said, lack of consistency) across the uploaded PDF files and the DM that was performed... for example, let's say the uploaded documents are different (so, Form Extraction is not an option), but there are some consistent documents - i.e., invoices or bills of lading are included in the PDF import. It would be nice if DM had the ability…

Are you able to elaborate on this a little more.

Document Matching will currently leave the cells blank if it does not find a match. Taking a look on a row by row bases to see the rows which have any blank cells is therefore one way to achieve what you propose.

Does this capture the essence of the request?

  18. it would be nice if I could control the Featured templates from my DataSnipper dashboard; it would be ideal if we could pick and choose which are relevant to us rather than it being an all or nothing from your side.

  19. This could help with honing in on the proper extraction point. Could potentially help K-1 extractions if the system has multiple anchors to select the location on the page

  20. Introducing a feature in the DataSnipper (DS) toolbar to add a client ID number or internal reference code could be a valuable enhancement for your clients. This would allow them to easily track which clients they have used DataSnipper on, and which they haven't, thereby improving their ability to manage and analyze their work across different clients.
