Customization for document match templates
Having the ability to select which document types (folders) are present in a test from the document matching template allows the template to be customized by the user more easily.
So if the test needs both an invoice and delivery note, the user can select that they dont have a delivery note and the test will still work with just the invoice.

Formulae in sample for Template
Sometimes the input cell of a document matching setup contains a formula (it is based on other cells within the sheet). It would be nice to maintain this formula when saving the template.

Document Matcing snip integrity check
I was document matching (DM) a large PDF file the other day and while I was reviewing the DM output, it occurred to me that it would be nice to have a feature where DataSnipper could quickly identify discrepancies (or better said, lack of consistency) across the uploaded PDF files and the DM that was performed... for example, let's say the uploaded documents are different (so, Form Extraction is not an option), but there are some consistent documents - i.e., invoices or bills of lading are included in the PDF import. It would be nice if DM had the ability…
1 voteAre you able to elaborate on this a little more.
Document Matching will currently leave the cells blank if it does not find a match. Taking a look on a row by row bases to see the rows which have any blank cells is therefore one way to achieve what you propose.
Does this capture the essence of the request?

template sharing user to user
sharing templates user to user on clients (document matching and form extractions) without putting them as company templates which we do not want to do as we have thousands of users that have specific needs to each of their clients and team members must have ability to have templates created by one user be transferrable to another instead of the big waste of time of having each user have to recreate the template from scratch when the work is reassigned on a client staff. This is important and we were told will be addressed in v5.1 in 2023 yet we…

Control featured templates available to team
it would be nice if I could control the Featured templates from my DataSnipper dashboard; it would be ideal if we could pick and choose which are relevant to us rather than it being an all or nothing from your side.
2 votesAre you able to let us know which featured templates are of use to the team? Would using these featured templates as a base for creating company templates be useful?

Document Matching + Form Extraction (VLOOKUP)
It would be very helpful if DataSnipper could essentially perform a VLOOKUP based on snipped data. For example, if a text snip or form extraction scrapes an employee's name from the sample supporting documentation, the tool would then automatically pull in the job title of the approver (based on a separate HR Excel listing that we can also import into DataSnipper), and input it into the cell in the adjacent column. The idea would be that as employee names are populated from the supporting documentation, the associated job title would be pulled in automatically (basically a VLOOKUP but native to…

Document Matching flagging exceptions
Document Matching linking for exceptions. i.e. search for the date and, even if it finds the incorrect date, it should link to the date identified and flag this as either correct or incorrect. This is different to rounding but rather incorporating the Advanced Extraction idea to know which field to reconcile.

Allow dynamic input columns when using document matching templates
Allow dynamic input columns when using document matching templates. i.e. column C is the input selected in the template. If a column is added before column C then that input column changes from column C to D to ensure that the input to output remains aligned.

Indicate when there is no exact match
For document matching, when there is no exact match (f.e. when fuzzy text match or a threshold is enabled), it would be nice if the output would somehow indicate that there is no exact match. For example by giving the snips that do not have an exact match, a different colour.

Export differences (Exporteer verschillen)
Eng: In the case of a detailed check where many errors (difference between A and B) occur, it would be useful if an export of the differences could be made at the push of a button. This could include the data source (checked) and the documents (e.g. invoice/price agreement from the customer) and make it clear what the difference is and what has been compared. This is to be shared with the customer and to ask for an explanation for this. One step further, it would be nice if datasnip automatically sends an email (or text) with what has been…

Force Match to row in table
Document Matching has the option to force match to a row in a table. This is a great option to ensure accurate results but is overly reliant on DataSnippers table identification which often gets the rows incorrect.
To account for this maybe there can be a threshold to force match to a row within x row deviation.

Document Match only find the correct sign of a value
I have noticed that document matching seems to match both positive and negative instances of a number. It would be nice if it prefers / requires an exact match taking into account the sign and only refers the the inverse sign as a secondary check.

Add "conditions" to Document Matching
I was using DM the other day to compare cash payments that were summarized in an Excel file to bank statements that were provided to me by the client. I didn't have any data in the Excel file other than (1) a hardcoded date and (2) the amount that I was told was paid. I was attempting to match the amount paid from the Excel file to the bank statement (which I was able to do with a very high success rate). But this also got me thinking, what if I could refine the document matching to look for certain…

Document Match the correct snip (understand documents)
Amend the DM algorithm to prioritize matches based on a logical understanding of the documents as opposed to simply limiting the distance between snips. i.e. DM should know to extract the value from the numbers in the document, not at the end of the tax identification number.

Sample not used in Doc Match test
Rework UX for selecting sample data even if it is not directly used in a document matching test. If I select an input field not used in the test then get to step 3, I have to go back to step 1 to rework all the settings. Rather allow the selection of ‘no output’.

Templates only for standardized output
Allow templates to be used on a current tab in excel so that only the output is templated (added).
That allows dynamic inputs to be built in the excel and then a template to be selected which will output a standard output section (headers and columns expected to test).

Working paper templates (not doc matching settings)

Consideration of exchange rates in document matching.
It would be helpful if you could enter which exchange rate Datasnipper should use and then convert and match the values yourself. For example, we receive reporting packages in foreign currencies and the exchange rates used in each case. If you want to check the conversion, you have to do this manually. Datasnipper could automate this.
