Expand OCR capabilities within Form Extraction
Perhaps this already exists - I am not aware of it existing - but while I love the Form Extraction functionality, I find that there are often times where I am working in documents of similar format and presentation but with slightly different dimensions, meaning, Form Extraction works great on a standardized form (e.g., a tax standardized form), but let's say I am importing pay stubs for 100 employees and I want to use Form Extraction to add snips to those stubs and extract data, the moment that one of those pay stubs has an added line (i.e., a one…

Need a spot to enter a "Date Mask"
Using form extraction with a specific document results in some unfortunate date reading errors. All dates in document are M/D/YYYY, but DataSnipper dates default to D/M/YYYY format until it hits a date that's impossible otherwise. The result is that dates when extracted are in a mixed D/M/Y and M/D/Y format based on what day of the month was read in. To explain another way, while the source document would show February 1, 2023 and February 25, 2023 as 2/1/2023 and 2/25/2023 respectively, DataSnipper will extract them as 1/2/2023 and 2/25/2023.
There are no controls for telling DataSnipper to use one…
2 votesDataSnipper does take into account others dates within the document to inform how to read dates (either D/M/Y or M/D/Y). This does however require a level of confidence to be applied.
Essentially, only if there are a sufficient number of dates of a clear format will DataSnipper apply that format to all unclear formats.

Ability to reorder files for extraction
Ability to reorder files for extraction would be nice. Context of payroll summary reports which are named by calendar months. DataSnipper will extract based on the A-Z which doesnt match reality.
Currently, we are having to rename the files before uploading to enable accurate extraction as we want it

Extract from multiple forms on the same page
For example, from a payroll register that may have 2 or 3 different sets of information on the same page, allow users to extract from each instance of the form on each page
2 votesAre you able to please provide some more information here.
Form extraction is able to support multiple extractions on a single page already. From what I understand, this should address your needs?

Company templates can also be used to design and tailor templates to the firm specific requirements.

Add possibility to move an extraction field to a different page
When using form extraction, it is at this moment not possible to edit an extraction field and then move that extraction field to a different page. Would be a nice to have if you can drag the extraction field to a different page.

With the implementation of V6.1 you are able to re-order extractions meaning you can easily delete an extraction and create a new one on the correct page, easily re-ordering this new extraction to the correct position in the list of extractions.

A current workaround is to use the template with all extractions and simply delete the irrelevant extractions not needed from within either excel or the running of that extraction.

(I.e., all “cells” in a tax document)
