  1. AI Form grouping

    If AI could be utilised to group documents into folders it thinks are formatted the same and would work under form extraction well. If it could just do it over the whole selection of documents or if you could pick one as an example to find matches against that could be helpful when clients don't provide files in an organised format

  2. Users spend a lot of time building PBC request lists when a lot of this information is already contained in prior year workpapers, sometimes you have examples from proforma clients or other templates which you would want to share with your client.

    The request snip could allow users to snip a document or a table of sample items in a workpaper and then automatically populate and send the request through the relevant PBC portal.

  3. Add possibility to switch between different OCR servers. The reason for this request is for service delivery centers that work for different countries and therefore want to switch between OCR servers to stay compliant with data regulations.

  4. Currently, when using the Move or Copy functionality in excel, it does not transfer the documents ans cross-references from one workbook to another.

    For excel files with thousands of snips in multiple sheets it's very important that this is enabled.
    Currently I have to manually copy each sheet individually

  5. Add a translate Snip function. We often get documents in Spanish, so it would be handy to be able to Snip the Spanish comments and have it translated into English for our working paper.

  6. Problem Statement:

    When using features like Receipt extraction quite often documentation is provided in various rotations, the tool is able to extract the information from these documents but it can be annoying to work with these documents or review the results as you are manually rotating pages a lot, some expense reports could include hundreds of receipts.

    Solution Suggestion:

    Once receipt extraction is completed it would be great to be able to automatically rotate the receipts through increments of 90 degrees so that the cross references are readable.

  8. Clients often find it more convenient to share the work performed in a single, easily distributable PDF format when collaborating with colleagues or external reviewers who do not have DataSnipper installed, rather than dealing with multiple PDFs.

  9. Have the DataSnipper ribbon, buttons, words, etc available in other languages. Canada has specific regulation that all tools need to be available in French & English, otherwise they will get alerted that they need to discontinue use of the software. Understood that the tool names we created "Document Matching"don't need to be translated, but the other actions that are just words "Import Documents" would need to be available.

  12. Have datasnipper compare two different versions of a PDF in excel. I.e. V1 and V2 reports.

    Datasnipper will then create a new tab with a list of exception snips that highlight any differences between the two pdfs.

  13. Using form extraction with a specific document results in some unfortunate date reading errors. All dates in document are M/D/YYYY, but DataSnipper dates default to D/M/YYYY format until it hits a date that's impossible otherwise. The result is that dates when extracted are in a mixed D/M/Y and M/D/Y format based on what day of the month was read in. To explain another way, while the source document would show February 1, 2023 and February 25, 2023 as 2/1/2023 and 2/25/2023 respectively, DataSnipper will extract them as 1/2/2023 and 2/25/2023.

  14. At the moment, there is a per-workbook setting to flick on or off 'Embed PDFs in Excel'. It would be useful to provide domain administrators with a method of applying this setting across their domain, and disabling the toggle for users.

  15. In most cases where table snip is being used, rows have text split over multiple lines, which table snip incorrectly interprets as multiple rows. This issue is significant when dealing with large PDFs as each table snip has to be edited manually.

    A simple way to solve this would be to have a 'key' column which the user selects, which tells table snip where to look to determine where the rows should be.   16. When documents are embedded in word, it is possible to drag & drop them to file explorer. It is not yet possible to drag & drop documents to the organizer. This is very relevant in the transition from documenting in word to documenting in excel.

  18. Ability to save Table Snip templates. Example: on a recurring basis investment reports are received, where only a subset of tables is to be extracted. Being able to save the specific table set as template would allow for efficiente extraction of tabular data upon receipt of the reports.

  20. I'd appreciate some "advanced search" features that extend the existing Smart Search tool. There are two specific features that I'm thinking of, but there might be more tools that could also be implemented.

    First, it would be nice to be able to search for generic data, such as "all dates" or "all numbers." If I want to iterate through all dates in a document, for example, I currently need to manually go through the document and find the dates. The ability to search for dates would allow me to go through that list and ensure that I don't miss any…
