Improve Multiple Validation Snips Handling
Problem Statement
When using multiple validation snips in a single Excel cell, deleting one validation snip can result in unexpected behavior:
- Loss of important documentation text when removing validation snips
- Inability to selectively remove individual validation snips while preserving others in the same cell
- Inconsistent behavior when using "Remove snip but keep cell content" option with multiple validation snips
Impact:
This issue affects audit workflow efficiency and documentation quality in several ways:- Users lose valuable documented insights and testing notes
- Need to manually rewrite deleted content
- Risk of incomplete documentation if users forget details that were deleted
- Additional time spent…

Allow editing of saved personal templates instead of having to save a new version.
Once a user creates a template, if they want to edit the template, they are required to save a new template. It would be beneficial if they could simply edit the template and have the changes saved instead of having to save another template.

Allow folders in Version Compare
If there is a large list of docs imported to a workbook it can be difficult to find the right docs in the version comparison set-up. It would be helpful to navigate via the folder structure to the relevant documents (similar to Form Extraction).

Determine/set cell for Form extraction and AES extraction
For Form extraction and AES extraction, we can set specific location/cell that the information goes to instead of copy & paste from new sheet.

Full/Half-width Allowance
Document Match matches sample data and the data extracted from documents when both data matches perfectly. That is, it does not match when a sample data is written in half width while the data extracted is written in full width or vice versa. This is a typical case in Japanese documents, for example, フィルター (half width) vs. フィルター (full width).
Ideally, Document Matching identifies words in half/full width and yet, matches both words as same key words.2 votes -
Provide the DataSnipper ribbon and instructions in local languages
Currently the DataSnipper application is provided in English only. Excel itself supports local languages in its ribbon and content. It would be nice if DataSnipper also could follow the local language settings of the computer.

Identification when a snip has been edited
If a snip is edited after the fact (i.e. change the numbers in a sum snip or change the text in a text snip). It would be great to have a clear indication of this.

Preserve Row and Columns When Repeating Table Snip
When repeating a Table Snip, the rows and columns the user sets in the first Table Snip are not preserved when repeating the Table Snip. The user ends up spending a significant amount of time adjusting the rows and columns for subsequent pages. If the rows/columns were preserved when repeating a table snip it would save users a lot of time doing clean up.

Disable simultaneous scrolling within version compare
When running version compare, there should be an option to disable the simultaneous scrolling of both the old and the new version (this is particularly due to the fact that the new version of the document could contain more pages than the original document which results in the review process being disrupted).

Excel showing count, not sum and average
Selecting multiple cells with numbers will automatically show the count, average and sum in the lower brown bar by default.
If you use text snip, or table snip to extract those numbers, Excel only shows count, and not sum and average. Even when transforming the snipped numbers into an Accounting Number Format. Not a must-have but maybe nice-to-have to integrate in the future3 votes -
OCR Health Score
Implement a confidence scoring system to provide users with insights into the accuracy of OCR-extracted text. I envision this feature offering both document-level and word/number-level confidence scores, empowering users to evaluate the reliability of the extracted data and make informed decisions.
Granular Confidence Levels: Clearly define confidence score ranges (e.g., high, medium, low) and provide corresponding probability values for better interpretability.
Visual Indicators: Incorporate visual cues (e.g., color-coding, icons) to quickly convey confidence levels, enhancing user experience.6 votes -
Allow document match to force match to same paragraph.
Editing the force match same row (or adding a new option) to not be as dependent on the table snip identification.

Ability to select multiple keys for a single extraction
This could help with honing in on the proper extraction point. Could potentially help K-1 extractions if the system has multiple anchors to select the location on the page

Have the ability to toggle between different licenses to allow easy testing of the latest insider release without compromising on the ability to quickly revert to the public release stable versions.

Ability to rotate and adjust the angle of the snips
It would be great if we can slightly rotate the snips for documents (especially handwritten) which are at an angle.

Be able to snip within an excel workbook.
Typically we have our audit test papers in excel. The first tab is the lead schedule with all the line items being tested including some links to what we snip. Usually on subsequent numbered tabs we will paste screenshots of approvals/ snippets of calculations. It would be useful to be able to use the leadsheet to be able to snip data pasted as images or tables in the subsequent tabs of the same excel file.
