  1. Hello,

Our company has experienced issues accessing DataSnipper files through Microsoft Teams/SharePoint/Office 365. Only when we sync the Team's channel to our individual computer we are able to access the files correctly. This was not an issue previously, so I am not sure if this is due to any new updates by Microsoft Teams, or any incompatibilities between DataSnipper and Microsoft.

    Thank you

  2. Include a standard snipping tool (like Microsoft's snipping tool) which can be used to snip documents and import directly into excel. Ideally the snip can also be a visual placeholder (before importing) to allow visual review.

In addition, having the ability to record action steps on a computer with clear points of reference for process capturing.

  3. Chops (stamps) are an important element of document authenticity which may be on top of other text within a document. It would be great if the text on the stamp could be differentiated from the underlying text.

  5. Document Matching has the option to force match to a row in a table. This is a great option to ensure accurate results but is overly reliant on DataSnippers table identification which often gets the rows incorrect.

To account for this maybe there can be a threshold to force match to a row within x row deviation.

  6. Users are only able to see the first ~100 characters of a company template description. Is it possible to add a hover over feature that allows users to see the full detail?

  7. Quick/Mass Redact - when needing to redact long documents for identifying information it'd be nice to be able to redact info you know appears through out i.e. company name / reg number quickly. Currently searching for these in the top right to find all instances and then manually redacting each so on long documents with a lot of identifying info this is quite laborious

  8. It'd be nice if I could designate which pages within a large PDF I want form extraction to be applied... let's say I have a 100 page PDF but I only want to perform some form of form extraction on 20 of those pages and they are dispersed throughout the 100 pages, it would be nice to set up the form extraction and then say, go apply this to pages 2-5, 7-11, 19-31, and so on and so. Thanks!

  9. Idea: Introduce an automated "Signature Detection" feature to validate the presence of signatures on documents like contracts and agreements.

Problem: Auditors currently have to manually verify the presence of signatures, a time-consuming process prone to errors, especially in documents requiring thorough validation.

Solution: Leverage computer vision techniques (Convolutional Neural Networks) to detect whether signature fields contain signatures, streamlining the validation process.

    Benefits:

Automates the tedious task of signature verification, reducing audit times.
Ensures compliance by quickly identifying unsigned documents.

  10. Applying redact text can be more intuitive. A pop up window should appear after creating the redacted box asking the user if they want to apply it. Right clicking isn't obvious.

  11. Is it feasible to implement an automatic dash-to-zero conversion for numerical data extracted from tables? By identifying tables with primarily numerical values, the system could infer that dashes represent zeros and replace them accordingly. This feature would enhance user experience, especially when dealing with large datasets

  12. Implement a confidence scoring system to provide users with insights into the accuracy of OCR-extracted text. I envision this feature offering both document-level and word/number-level confidence scores, empowering users to evaluate the reliability of the extracted data and make informed decisions.

Granular Confidence Levels: Clearly define confidence score ranges (e.g., high, medium, low) and provide corresponding probability values for better interpretability.
Visual Indicators: Incorporate visual cues (e.g., color-coding, icons) to quickly convey confidence levels, enhancing user experience.

  13. My spreadsheet got 10 pdfs and everytime I click a cell with zero, it takes a few sec to search for all zeros in the 10 pdfs. My spreadsheet is almost unusable.

  15. I have noticed that document matching seems to match both positive and negative instances of a number. It would be nice if it prefers / requires an exact match taking into account the sign and only refers the the inverse sign as a secondary check.

  17. When a snip is added, all prior work is "forgotten" so that undo can only undo the last snip. Any previous work can therefore not be undone.

I lose the ability to undo the last few adjustments made as soon as I apply a snip.

The suggestion is to allow the "undo" function to operate as standard so that all previous actions can be undone.

  18. Validation snip should not impact the formatting of current text in the cell when validate snipping in that cell.

Example being a date in current cell is validated with support and then it changes the date to be "General" formatting instead of "Short Date" formatting. Time loss having to redo formatting.

  19. Use form extraction to redact text fields over multiple of the same forms. An example could be redacting social security numbers on all payslips at once.

  20. I was using DM the other day to compare cash payments that were summarized in an Excel file to bank statements that were provided to me by the client. I didn't have any data in the Excel file other than (1) a hardcoded date and (2) the amount that I was told was paid. I was attempting to match the amount paid from the Excel file to the bank statement (which I was able to do with a very high success rate). But this also got me thinking, what if I could refine the document matching to look for certain…
