OCR - Punctuation standardisation - apostrophes & quote marks
When running OCR on documents depending on font some punctuation, particularly apostrophes & quote marks, come out differently e.g. Group's vs. Group’s.
This causes issues when using the financial statement suite & version compare features in particular as a lot false changes get flagged which muddy the waters significantly. If logic can be built in so the characters used for apostrophes & quote marks are consistent across the board that would be ideal, I think this setting would be best as the default and having an option to switch back to…

Document Match Showing Live Preview of Results "Snip Count = 50/75"
Add a count of snips/result a document match will return on step 3 of document matching. Could utilize the initial population to say "Snip Count = 25/75" then user would know to adjust/remove restriction such as removal of force match on same page of document and the count would live update to "Snip Count = 50/75". This would serve a similar purpose to the Form Extraction preview that live updates with changes in extractions.

Rotate imported image by small degrees
It would be nice if we had the ability to slightly rotate an image by a small degree. For example, if a PDF has a poor scan of an image and lets say that image is slightly skewed, it'd be nice to rotate that image to a degree less than 90 degrees... for example, let's say, I just want to rotate the image to the left, say, 2-3% degrees so that the columns are more up-and-down rather than slightly skewed.

Add a translate Snip function. We often get documents in Spanish, so it would be handy to be able to Snip the Spanish comments and have it translated into English for our working paper.

Financial statements extraction model similar to invoice extraction or contract extraction already available.
If the model could be trained to pull out statutory information like who signed & the date i.e. for the audit report / strategic report / Balance sheet; other useful statutory information would be things like accounting standards prepared under and who the ultimate controlling party is etc.
As well as other standard numerical info such as turnover, debtors, creditors, bank, employee numbers, etc.

Interface with ERP to obtain documents from the ERP directly
Request coming from financial control departments: next to having document matching, I'd love to have a plug in that can also automatically extract the documents related to the selected samples from the ERP system

Filter for more than just document name
In the Document Organizer, I'd like to be able to use the Filter field on the file "Status" to select documents. For example: to apply OCR to all files that have "Status" of Contains Text or to select all files that imported corrupted to remove those files in bulk.

Automatically adjusting row height and column width when table snipping
When people use table snip it snips all the tables into the cells but the user has to then manually adjust the rows and columns and even if its the Excel shortcuts that save time like (alt+h+o+a and alt+h+o+i) it still takes time.
What if when users use table snip we automatically adjust the rows and columns to the right size?
Would that be helpful for users and would it be possible on the product/development side?

This has been deferred as as aim to force a change to excel's functionality as far as possible. Automatically resizing columns and rows for a user may not be desired in all scenarios (i.e. if there are other data points outside of the table range with different column and row dimensions.

Enhancing the ability within Document Matching step 3 to limit the amount threshold in a certain direction. For example in Step 3, I would like to add an Amount threshold for an input of GL Date Recorded to look for values after +3 days of input date. This would be helpful in SURL and AP testing in TODs.

If formula in form extraction
Can you add an 'if.. then' functionality in Form extraction? This is especially useful for the extract multiple lines per row option, for example IF the bank transaction has a description, THEN extract the description and if not, don't extract the data. Currently you risk having other data in the description column even if it is actually not a description. (this could also be fixed by being able to extract multiple keys for the extract multiple lines per row option).

Snip all tables - Adding rows in Excel / avoid overwriting
When applying snip all tables and then starting to adjust the number of rows in the document its likely that this will overwrite data in Excel from tables extracted below. Maybe DS can move consecutive tables in case of adjustment of previous tables (adding a row in excel).

Form Extraction: the output will shift to eliminate blank columns. Output columns need to be consistent for use in workpapers
In a client discussion, when using a form extraction template the extraction came up with an error that certain fields could not be found. I assume that is an issue with finding keys. However, then the output would be shifted to create an output without spaces which makes it inconsistent with the rest of the extraction outputs.
If a key/extraction isn't found, the output columns should remain fixed so as to create a consistent table that can be copied and pasted into workpapers.

Importing sub-folders
allow for the ability to import subfolders when dragging & dropping files/folders into Document Organizer.
many times, firms/clients will organize an audit by having many subfolders within one folder. Currently, the subfolder formatting does not carry over.

The current implementation allows all documents within each folder to be imported (the highest level folder will be replicated within DataSnipper but all documents within subfolders will be imported into that 1 folder).
